Carrying Two Fat Bikes with the Curt 2 Bike Platform Rack with Adapters
Question:
hi just wanting to know if a 18085 rack can carry two fat bikes with two sets of the appropriate 18091 fat tire hoops? I read the description for the adapter and it reads as if only one fat tired bike will work. wasnt sure if there was a weight and or spacing limitation for the rack with two sets of 18091 adapters.

If the Curt 2 Bike Platform Rack, part # C18085 can carry two fat bikes will be determined by the weight of the bikes. Each position is limited to 45 pounds, and the individual bikes in this position can't exceed this weight capacity, even with the fat bike adapters, part # C18091 equipped onto the rack. If you're buying for two fat bikes, you can save a little bit by buying the dual Fat Bike kit, part # C18085-FB.
If you have heavier fat bikes, and this rack won't work for you, I recommend a beefier rack like the Saris Freedom 2, part # SA4412B-FB. This will give you up to 60 pounds per bike and a maximum tire width of 5 inches. Additionally, the Saris Freedom includes an integrated bike and anti-rattle hitch lock for added security.
