Can 12 Volt Accessory Circuit of ETBC7 Kit Be Wired So that It Only Sees Voltage When Key is On
Question:
Can I use this part and hook it up so that the trailer only gets 12 volts when the truck is on? If so, how do I go about doing that for a 1998 Dodge dakota R/T? If you can guide me on where to hook this wire up to fuse box, etc. Id appreciate it. I just dont want constant power to the trailer in case I leave the trailer plugged in without vehicle running. Thanks in advance!

You can make it so that the 12 volt accessory circuit of the # ETBC7 is active only when the key is on but you'll need an isolation solenoid part # PK5231201. This will get installed inline with the circuit with center center pin getting ran to a circuit that only sees voltage when the key is on.
