Replacement Dexter Equalizers for 2-1/2
Question:
Hi, I have a trailer with dexter axles that we need to replace both equalizers on. The dexter number is 13-135 on right and 13-134 on the left. Do you have a replacement pair of equalizers that will match the originals?

I do have an option for you but we do not carry the exact replacement you are looking for. For your trailer, I recommend using the Dexter Equalizers part # 13-140-3. These equalizers are almost an exact replacement for the ones you currently have. All of the dimensions will be the same except for the bolt hole diameter that attaches the rear leaf spring to the equalizers. The bolt you have that attaches the rear leaf spring to the equalizers on your trailer is a 7/8" diameter bolt and the new equalizers use a 3/4" diameter bolt. Therefore, in order to make the new 3/4" bolt hole in the equalizer work with your current leaf springs you will need to replace the eyelet bushing on both of your rear leaf springs with the Hayes Spring Eye Bushing part # 105000. You would also need to obtain two new 3/4" diameter x 3-1/2" long bolts to attach the rear leaf springs to the equalizer like part # 126A1.
