Question:
Hi, I would like to where can I find the block heater cord on a 2009 KIA RIO? Where could i locate this, and what the instructions? Would you be able to tell me where the cartridge heater is installed on this vehicle and what the instructions are. Thanks

The correct engine block heater for your 2008 Kia Rio with the 1.6L I4 engine is the Kat's Heaters Custom Engine Block Heater part # KH11485. I have attached the installation instructions for you as well. The engine block heater will replace one of your frost plugs located on the drivers side of the engine, closest to the grill. You can see this position labeled as "LF" in the attached photo.
Contrary to a cartridge style engine block heater, the above frost plug style heater is much harder to install and requires a bit more technical aptitude than your average plug in cartridge style heater. I strongly recommend seeking out a local mechanic to perform the installation if you are hesitant.
