Mounting Location for Air Reservoir from Roadmaster BrakeMaster System on 2010 Chevy Equinox
Question:
I am considering the Roadmaster Brakemaster 9160 for my 2010 Chevy Equinox. I am concerned that there isnt enough room in the engine compartment for the brake away cylinder. Can you tell me where that is typically mounted on an Equinox?

The Roadmaster BrakeMaster System # RM-9160 referenced in your question is confirmed to work with your 2010 Chevrolet Equinox. When there is not enough room under the hood to install the air reservoir for the break away system, the most common alternate locations are next to the driver's seat or under the dash near the left kick panel. For your application these mounting locations will work great.
In order to install this system on your Equinox, you will also need the Stop Light Switch Kit # RM-751439 and the Custom Seat Adapter # RM-88280.
I have attached the complete installation instructions for this system that you can also take a look at.
