Recommended Best Weight Distribution and Sway Control for NuCamp Tear Travel Trailer

Question:

What is best sway control for 2017 Ford Escape 3500lb tow capacity. NuCamp tear travel trailer 1800lb with 160lb tongue weight. 2inch ball. Add 60-100 lb. gear behind car rear axle/tongue. Trailer has brakes.

Thanks for all the weight information. Based on the total tongue weight of the loaded trailer and gear behind the rear axle, I recommend the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System w/ 4-Point Sway Control - 6,000 lbs GTW, 600 lbs TW # EQ37060ET. This system has the 2 inch hitch ball as well as the total tongue weight range between 200 and 600 lbs. This will put you in the middle of that range to be an ideal fit. This system uses metal on metal friction in 4 places to reduce sway for a better driving experience.

You will also need a thin walled socket like # ALL643216 or # EQ70-00-4800 to install the hitch ball that is included.

This will work with either electric, hydraulic, or hydraulic surge brake trailer brake systems.
