Installation of Black Slide-Topper on 2014 Forest River Surveyor Cadet Travel Trailer
Question:
I have a 2014 Forest River Surveyor Cadet Travel Trailer. I ordered a topper for the slide out LCV000165062. The gutter above the slide out looks like it would take the topper cord. It is even on both sides from the flange to the gutter, but it measures about six inches. It would be nice not to have to mount the rail, but is the slope going to be too much?

Helpful Expert Reply:
On your 2014 Forest River Surveyor Cadet Travel Trailer, the slide-topper awning # LCV000165062 will require the hardware included to function properly on the slider side, but it is possible that the trailer side has a compatible rail. The 6 inches of height above the sliderwill not be too much for this as far as angle as long as you have enough fabric in the awning for that pitch.
