Rubber Pads Under R20 Slider to Reduce Noise and Resist Movement
Question:
should I have installed the four rubber pads under the R20 slider, that sits top of the puck system ? 2017 chevy 3500 with factory puck system, when I do put them in place I cant get the pins to go in to the holes to hold the slider down , but when I remove the rubber, the pins go in but are very sloppy. I cant find any information on this topic I dont think is normal. Please advise!

The Curt R20 Round Tube Slider for Q20 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches - 12" Travel # C16550 utilizes the Adapter Rails for Curt 5th Wheel Hitch w/ Slider - Chevy/GMC Towing Prep Package # C16023 to fit into your factory pucks. What you are referring to is the adjustment that needs to be made with the adapter. The installation instructions are attached that on page 3 walk you step by step through the adjustments. The puck system does not require any trim removal for this installation. As long as the pucks are exposed you are ready to add the adapter and make the adjustments for a sturdy fit. There is a rubber gasket that can be added between the hitch and the adapter at the tabs and it is great for noise reduction, so I recommend adding those gaskets to this assembly. I've attached a video to assist.
