Im looking for a receiver for my 1976 Chevy k20 3/4 ton class 3 factory style replacement with the most weight rating and whats tongue load mean ?

The highest capacity hitch we have for your 1976 Chevy K20 is the Draw Tite part # 41947 which has a capacity of 16,000 lbs and 1,600 lbs tongue weight.
The tongue weight capacity of a hitch is the vertical load capacity the hitch has. So basically the amount of weight a coupler that can put on the hitch before failure.
