Front SumoSpring Recommendation for 2016 Jayco Alante 26AY
Question:
I would like to install the SumoSprings to the front-end of my 2016 Jayco Alante 26AY 2015 Ford F53 16,000 - 18,000lb chassis. After watching your video on installing the springs to a 2015 Tiffen it indicates the appropriate product to be SSF-183-40-1. However, when I input the the Year/Model info into your system it does not provide a choice of Alanteinch of any model. Is the SSF-183-40-1 the correct springs for my coach? Also, can the springs be easily installed WITHOUT removing the front tires? It is difficult to tell while watching the video. Thank you in advance for your response.

For your 18k 2016 Jayco Alante 26AY the correct SumoSpring kit is the part # SSF-170-40-2 for the front axle. This kit is designed for GVWRs of between 16k and 22k which will work perfectly for you. Recently SumoSprings changed quite a few of their part numbers with the F-53 fits being the most affected. That is why the recommended part number has changed.
The attached install instructions for this kit do not specifically mention removing the front wheels to install this kit so it looks like that is not required. That being said it most likely will be easier to complete the install with the front wheel removed since you'd have much more access to the area.
