Trailer Mounted Step That Can Be Installed on Trailer Tongue Near Tool Box
Question:
Is the deezee strong enough to stand on

The DeeZee Specialty Series Trailer Tongue Toolbox # DZ91717P is made of tough polyethylene plastic that is naturally non-corrosive and sturdy but it is not expressly meant for a person to step or stand on it. A child or a person that weighs 110-lbs could probably do so briefly without mishap but a sturdy fellow that weighs 280-lbs probably should not.
But we DO have handy step products that might be worth considering for installation near this tool box's same trailer tongue mounting point.
HitchMate 5 x 9-inch step # HE4036 bolts on to trailer fames up to 3 x 5-inches and offers a 400-lb rating. It has a rubber tread surface.
We also have a lower-cost bolt-on Galvanized Steel Step from CE Smith, part # CE26212G-15284GA, that measures 15 x 3-inches but does not have a rubber tread surface. This CE Smith item is USA-made.
