Can B&W Companion Hitch be Used with Gooseneck Hitch on 2018 Chevy Silverado
Question:
I have a BandW Companion Turnover hitch for my 2006 Silverado 3500 SRW. I want to put it in my new 2018 Silverado 3500 dually which came with goose neck setup/ball. However, there now is no pin bar used to hold the goose neck ball. The goose neck ball has its own release mechanism. What do I need to use my current BandW Companion hitch in my 2018 Silverado? Thanks

The B&W Companion Gooseneck Hitch Adapter # BWRVK3500 is designed only to work with the B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck HItch. If your new 2018 Chevy Silverado has the factory gooseneck kit or an aftermarket product from a different manufacturer, you will not be able to safely secure the Companion for towing a fifth wheel trailer.
In order to tow a fifth wheel trailer with the existing gooseneck hitch on your truck, I recommend looking into an adapter like the Ranch Hitch Universal 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Coupler Adapter # AM3100. This works with standard pin boxes and features a 24,000 pound capacity. I have attached a short video demonstration on this product so you can get a better look at how it works.
