Installing a Reese 14K Fifth Wheel Hitch on a 2005 Chevy Pickup
Question:
I Purchase a used Reese 14,000k Fifth Wheel hitch and i am installing it in a 2005 chevy short bed truck, i am not sure where the plates that mount under the be bo, also the top part looks like it pins to the Plates. the Part number on the hitch was 30031,30037,30726.

I have included a link to the installation instructions for the universal kit, # RP30035. Instructions for your 2006 Chevy Silverado start on page 5.
We have a video that shows the installation process. Because you have a short bed pickup, please make sure your hitch has a slider on it. Otherwise, there will not be enough clearance at the front of your trailer, and the corners will impact your cab during sharp turns.
If you don't already have a 7-way trailer connector installed in the truck bed, you can do so using part # 41157. You can see an install video by clicking the provided link.
