Bike Rack for a 2017 Winnebago ERA 70M with Offset Spare Tire

Question:

I am looking for a bike rack for a Winnebago ERA 70M., preferably a hitch type. It seems in my search that the Yakima Long Haul may be one of a few or perhaps only one that works. One of the bikes to be carried is a 40lb e-bike with fenders. The Long Haul claims a max limit of 37.5. Close enough? From the center of the pin hole to clearance for a rear mounted off to the side, not directly in the center spare tire is 15.5 inches. It seems that the Long Haul may work because when folded down the nearest hanging point seems more than 15.5 inches. When folded up, it may just be narrow enough to clear the the spare tire. Thoughts? Suggestions?

I have a recommendation for you, however the Yakima LongHaul, part # Y02476 will not be a good pick for your application. I've attached a video review of the Yakima LongHaul that shows its installation a little clearer. The Yakima Longhaul only sits 11-1/2 inches away from the hitch pin hole, so its unlikely it will clear your spare tire if its furthest point is 15-1/2 inches.

Additionally, its never recommended to exceed the per-bike weight capacity of any bike rack, especially on an RV use, due to the increased force that the rack will experience.

Instead, I recommend the Swagman Dispatch 2 bike platform rack, part # S44FR. This rack has a capacity of 45 pounds per bike, and sits 18 inches away from the hitch pin hole, clearing the tire handily. This rack includes a hitch and bike lock, as well as anti-rattle technology.
