Installing Tekonsha Voyager Brake Controller on 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Question:
I have the Tekonsha Voyager. It has black, red, white, and blue wires coming out of it. A Jeep wiring kit came with my new Grand Cherokee. It has black, white with a violet stripe, Gray with a red stripe, and a dark green wire. Which ones match with which? I need to wire my brake controller. Thank you.

On your Tekonsha Voyager Trailer Brake Controller # 39510, the wire colors and functions are as follows:
White is ground
Black is 12 volt power
Blue is output to the trailer brakes
Red is input from the stop light switch
If you are referring to a standalone pigtail harness that came with the vehicle, there should hopefully be labels on the wires that indicate their function. Based on my research, it looks like the black wire on the factory harness should be for ground, which will connect to the white wire on the brake controller. The white wire with the violet stripe is for the stop light circuit and will connect to the red wire on the controller. The gray wire with red stripe is the 12 volt circuit and will connect to the black wire on the controller. The green wire on the harness is for the brake output and will go to the blue controller wire. I also recommend testing the wires with a circuit tester like # 3808 to confirm this.
Otherwise, if your Jeep came with a factory 7-Way connector at the rear of the vehicle, you also use Custom Plug-In Adapter # TK93VR. One end of this adapter will plug into the brake controller itself, while the other end will connect directly to the built-in port beneath the Jeep's dash. No splicing of wires will be needed.
I have attached the written installation instructions along with a short video that you can use for reference.
