I assume this is a replacement axle, so in order to choose the correct one, you will need to know the dimensions of your current axle's hub-face to hub-face and spring center to spring center as in the diagram I have added, with A being the hub face dimensions and B the spring center dimensions. For example, the Dexter Trailer Axle Beam # T3584F-8974 is 89" hub face to hub face and 74" spring center to spring center with a weight capacity of 3,500 lbs.
Additionally, the axle may not be the lowest-rated part of your trailer in terms of weight capacity. It's possible the frame may also be an issue which may not allow you to "up-spec" for added weight.
