Replacement Hub for Bearings 68149 and L44649 on Square Axle
Question:
A paragraph discusses weight capacity of axles based on diameter of round axles. Is there similar information for square axles? The name plate says it has a GVW rating of 4050 lbs and load capacity of 3550 lbs. Tire size is ten inch which, I assume, is to provide clearance between the tire and pontoon V-bunks. Tire pressure is 50 lbs. Brake equipment is Titan with L68149/L44649 bearings

Based on the bearing numbers you provided, your axle capacity is 3,500 lbs; there is no set capacity for square axles based on dimensions. We do have a hub and drum assembly from Dexter which will work for you, as it has the bearings you mentioned:
