Installation Kit Needed To Install Reese 16K 5th Wheel In My 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 HD
Question:
hi im trying to install a reese pro 16000 5th wheel hitch in my 2005 chev 1500hd. i bought it used complete. my problem is that the mounting brackets are angled and on my frame there are existing bolts almost right where i need to mount my brackets. all the kits i look at seam to have stright 90 degree brackets not angled like mine. do i have the right brackets im at a stand still. thanks for any help

It sounds like the brackets you have are either bent or not for your vehicle.
I would recommend going with a custom installation kit that will cut the install time by almost half and will reduce the amount of drilling. Since you have the complete fifth-wheel, you will just need the Reese Quick-Install Custom Bracket Kit, part # RP50064. For a the kit that includes new rails, we have the Reese 5th Wheel Installation Kit, part # RP50064-58.
