Will my current Reese 18K signature 5th wheel hitch that attaches to an under rail mount fit the new factory mounts in a 2017 GMC 2500HD

No, unfortunately the Reese Signature Series 5th wheel trailer hitches will not fit the factory puck system in the 2017 GMC Sierra 2500 short bed. But there are hitches that will fit. I recommend the B&W Companion # BWRVK3770. It is a direct fit and it is a slider hitch for more turning clearance when towing with a flat bed truck.
Another option is Curt hitch # C16669. It is also a direct fit to the factory system in your truck.
