Recommended Transmission Cooler for 2009 Ford Flex
Question:
What position and type transmission cooler would be recommended for a 2009 ford flex

Helpful Expert Reply:
For your 2009 Ford Flex, I recommend the Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit w/Barb Inlets # D13503. It has built in turbulators to move the fluid and assist with better heat transfer for more efficient cooling.
The position you mentioned is based on the options on your vehicle. Ideally, I recommend the position in front of all you other coolers, but many times the position directly in front of your radiator is the easiest to mount and still very efficient. See attached photo.
