How do you know if you have a wiring converter on a 2017 Toyota Highlander XLe with towing package? Thanks

Since you have the tow package on your 2017 Toyota Highlander the converter is present under your dash so for trailer wiring you'd want the part # 56042 and you'd be set. I attached an install video for this for you to check out as well.
Had you not had the tow package the correct harness is the part # C56217.
