Transmission, Engine Oil, and Power Steering Cooler Recommendations for a 2006 Honda Odyssey
Question:
Im getting ready to order this hitch package for my Honda Odyssey. Will primarily use to tow a small 8 ft utility trailer with a small sailboat ~80 lbs. Do I really need a trans cooler, powersteering cooler, and oil cooler?

If the vehicle manufacturer recommends a transmission cooler, power steering cooler, and/or oil cooler, it is best to follow their recommendation. Even when towing light loads, there will be extra stresses on the vehicles components and it is better to be safe than sorry.
For a transmission cooler, a small one will work fine for your application. You can use # D12901. I have included a link to our FAQ article on transmission coolers for you to view.
For an oil cooler you can go with a Derale Tube-Fin Engine Oil Cooler Kit, # D15501. This kit comes with multiple thread sizes to fit many different vehicles.
And for a power steering cooler, something simple will work well for your application. Take a look at the Dyno-Cool, # D12213. With all of these coolers installed, you not only protect the vehicle while towing, you extend the life of the components as well.
