Hardware for Switching Hitch From 2009 Saturn Outlook to 2014 GMC Acadia
Question:
I purchased a hitch from you for a 2009 Saturn Outlook a few years ago. I want to transfer the hitch to a 2014 GMC Acadia. Per the website, the part number is the same. But the bolts do not seem to be starting. Can you confirm if the bolts for 2014 Acadia are same of different that 2009 Outlook.

Expert Reply:
The installation of Draw-Tite # 75528 may be different in the 2014 GMC Acadia than the 2009 Saturn Outlook. Per the instructions:
"Install Central Fasteners – Install fasteners in central receiver bracket.
a. With Bumper Weldnuts – (2) M12 bolts and (2) 1/2” conical washers
b. Without Bumper Weldnuts – (2) 1/2” bolts, (2) conical washers and (2) handle nuts."
You are going to want to use new hardware for your installation and not transfer the hardware from one vehicle to the next. Replacement Hardware Kit # RHK is available, and to get the correct hardware you'll want to enter "75528" in the Hitch Item Number box, and in the drop box next to Manufacturer select "Draw-Tite."
