Is 37185 Correct Adapter to Use to Install Brake Controller in 2005 Ford F-150 with 4-Way
Question:
I have a 2005 Ford F150 XL base truck. I have recently purchased 13357, 39523, 3035-P, and 37185. The hitch and controller parts were installed fairly quickly with no major issues. My question is regarding the part number 37185. Is this the best 7 way adapter to use or did I miss a plug and play option for this truck? I did find a 4 way plug tucked up close to the under side of the bumper while installing the hitch. Thanks,

Since your 2005 Ford F-150 does have the factory 4-way what you have is the correct and best way to install the brake controller.
The wiring is already present under the rear of your truck for installing the 7-way as well. I attached a picture and an FAQ article that details how to use it to connect to the # 37185.
