Installing Tekonsha Voyager Brake Controller on 2009 Chevy Suburban
Question:
Ok I found the four wires under the dash that are for the trailer. They are 1 red/black 1 white 1 lightblue/white and 1 dark blue no orange wire. Which wires go to my Tekonsha Voyager? I have a dark blue red white and a black wire.

Your Voyager brake controller would connect to the existing tow package wiring as follows:
Red/Black tow package wire to black wire on controller
Dark Blue tow package wire to blue wire on controller
Light Blue/White striped tow package wire to red wire on controller
White tow package wire to white wire on controller
We have a FAQ page that outlines the install procedure on late model GM trucks, click on the provided link.
We also have an installation video showing a different controller being installed on a 2011 Silverado. Although the controller and vehicle are a bit different, the procedure shown would be almost identical for your vehicle.
