Question:

Expert Reply:
The Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System # EQ37140ET that you referenced does come with a shank and a 2-5/16" hitch ball so you will not have to purchase anything else for your towing setup. The only other thing that you may want to get is a 1-7/8" thin walled socket like part # EQ70-00-4800 to help make installing the hitch ball easier.
You will want to make sure that the Total Tongue Weight (TTW) of your towing setup fall in the middle of the Tongue Weight (TW) range of this Weight Distribution (WD) system (1,000 lbs - 1,400 lbs) so that everything operates as it's supposed to. You can find the TTW of your system by adding the TW of your fully loaded and ready-to-go trailer with the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle of your tow vehicle. Keep in mind that a properly loaded trailer will have a TW that is 10-15% of the loaded trailer weight.
I have added a review video and some helpful articles for you to check out.
