78 Yakima Bar Compatibility with the Yakima Outdoorsman 300 and BedRock Kit

Are the 78inch crossbars that are included with the Yakima Outdoorsman 300 Ladder Rack part # Y01137-Y00411 the same Round 78inch CrossBars for Yakima Roof Rack System QTY 2 part# Y00411? I already have the Yakima BedRock Towers for Truck Bed Rails - Qty 4 part# Y01140 for my 2010 Chevy Silverado 1500 extended cab with the 6.5foot bed and wanted to see if the 78inch crossbar would be interchangeable with both Yakima kits.

The Crossbars included in the Yakima Outdoorsman 300, part # Y01137-Y00411 are the Yakima 78 inch Round Bars, part # Y00411.

The 79 inch crossbars will extend past the end of the truck a bit, but will be compatible with your BedRock towers, giving you a widely interchangeable kit between the Outdoorsman and the BedRock.

Given the width, you'll have a solid fit with the 78 inch bars. Yakima does recommend the 66 inch round bars, part # Y00410 as a fit for your vehicle to fit the bed directly.

If you wanted to purchase the Outdoorsman on its own, without the crossbars, you'll need to purchase two of part # Y01137, which is just the uprights.

For a lot of Yakima accessories, you'll need a kit of round bar Snap Around brackets, available separately as part # Y8810135. Some of Yakima's accessories will include these or a round bar solution, but in case they don't, these will either insert into the clamp or replace the mounting point to let you use the accessory.
