How Many Bolts are Needed When Installing the Yakima 60" Tracks for Roof Racks # Y01135
Question:
Does this replacement kit include all the mounting hardware for only one track or both 60 inch tracks? Can you tell me the spacing of the bolts? The directions for installing the tracks say every other hole, but what does that work out to? For example are they 18 inches on center. Curious how many holes I will need to drill in my fiberglass top to install these. Last can you tell me the diameter of the capnuts? Thanks!

Expert Reply:
If the instructions for the Yakima 60" Tracks for Roof Racks # Y01135 state to use the mounting bolts on every other hole then the 12 mounting bolts included in part # Y8810155 is enough for 2 tracks. Although you can cut them to size, if you use the full 60" of the track then you will need to drill 6 holes.
I went out to the warehouse and found the cap nuts to have a 1-1/8" diameter.
