Recommended Trailer Hitch Receiver For 1990 Ford F-250 with Spare Tire
Question:
Will the Curt hitch C15300 work on my 1990 F250 without geitting in the way of the access to the spare tire? I see that the 14001 hitch states that spare tire may need to be moved for installation, while the C15300 says that some vehicles may require an aftermarket spare tire modification to retain the spare tire

The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class V XD - 2" # C15300 will most likely interfere with your spare tire. That doesn't mean it cannot fit, but it will most likely require the mentioned aftermarket modification. Curt # 14001 most likely won't fit even with a modified spare holder.
To ensure no modification is needed for your spare tire, I recommend the Draw-Tite Ultra Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class IV - 2" # 41904. This is a very strong hitch with a very similar look that will allow for your spare tire.
