Position of Footplate Handles and Plunger Pins on Landing Gear Trailer Jacks
Question:
Is anyone making landing gear jacks where the passenger side spring loaded foot release is on the outside of the jack?

From what I have seen, there are 2 different configurations for landing gear jacks like # BD182815. First is like the jack you have referenced that has the foot release is perpendicular to the rod through the top center of the jack. The other configuration is like # BD182411, with the release parallel with the top rod.
Jack # BD182411 is a companion to the Bulldog Square Jack # BD182400. The Bulldog Square Jack, # BD182404 and can be used in tandem operations with either of the first two jacks. If you want to connect 2 together for dual operations, you will need to make a connecting rod.
Both jacks are designed so that their plunger pins and footplate handles are in easily accessible positions from either side of your trailer. A handle, like # BD015181, can be placed on either side.
