Solution for 2011 Dodge Ram Truck Where Trailer Lights Stop Working, Bypass TIPM

Sounds like you have a blown fuse or relay under the hood of your truck. Since it's a 2011 Dodge it could be the dreaded TIPM which means you'd have to go to a Dodge dealer unless you wanted to rewire the truck with one of our kits.
The trailer wiring circuits on the newer Dodge trucks have some interesting issues. The issue is the TIPM. If it detects enough shorts it will eventually lock up and require you to spend quite a bit of money. It basically is a big circuit board. The easiest way to deal with them is to bypass the factory trailer wiring. To do this with a 7-way like you said you have on your truck you will first need to start with a 4-way.
For that you will need the part # C58044. Now if all you need is taillight functions and your trailer does not have brakes all you would need to convert this to a 7-way is the part # 37185.
If you do have trailer brakes and need the 7-way to activate them as well you instead would want the part # ETBC7. I attached an FAQ on this part plus an install video.
