Brake Controller Display on 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited is Not Lighting up

Question:

I havent used my trailer brake controller yet this year. but when I hooked it up i can get the brake, marker lights and turn signals to work. but my display no longer has a reading on it nor does the lever button light up. So now the brakes are not controlled on my trailer. I have tried to troubleshoot and follow all the wires, checked fuses etc. Im stumped!!! 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited without trailer pkg.

If the display on your brake controller is not lighting up, then it is definitely not getting power and you will need to check the wiring running to the battery on your 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. If you have the Prodigy P3 # 90195 then it will be the Black wire on the pigtail.

You can use a Circuit Tester # PTW2993 to make sure that there is power coming through on that wire. If there is power getting to the brake controller but the display doesn't light up and there is no output from the controller, then there is a good chance that the brake controller is bad and needs to be replaced.
