Best Trailer Tire Option for Size ST175/80R13

Question:

i have a 1980 Burro fiberglass camper. it has , st 175/80d 13 inch tires on it, they are 11 years old. they look new, and feel new. but I have heard I should change them every 6 years....... is this true? If I change them, I am thinking of going with radial tires instead of bias. I would like a better load range, and speed rate. I am considering the st 175/80R13 load range D. what tire would you suggest? thanks

6 years is the accepted age that a trailer tire should be replaced at. Going to a radial 175/80R13 would be a great choice too as they ride better and can handle higher speeds.

Best option is the part # LHWL101. It has a 75 mph speed rating and a 2 year roadside assistance program.

If your RV or trailer has a flat tire, call the help line and a technician will come change the flat for you. You can call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year from anywhere in the United States, Canada, or Puerto Rico.
