There are going to be quite a few components necessary to flat tow your 2004 Jeep Wrangler, starting with the base plate kit. You will need to know the type of bumper you have in order to find the kit that will work for you. If your '04 Wrangler has a double tube bumper or u-channel bumper you would want Roadmaster EZ4 Base Plate Kit # RM-521424-4, though this will not fit models with front leaf springs. Should your Wrangler have an off-road bumper with 1" D-Ring bumper mounts you would need Adapter for Jeep D-Ring Bumper Mounts to Roadmaster Motor Home Mount Tow Bars # RM-035-1, and if it has 3/4" D-Ring bumper mounts you'd need adapter # RM-035.

The next thing you will need is a tow bar, and I highly recommend using the Roadmaster Falcon 2 # RM-520, which has a 6,000 lb weight capacity, has a simple hook up with its self-aligning design and is compatible with the EZ4 base plate quick disconnect. You are also going to need safety chains, Roadmaster # RM-643, which are 68" coiled cables.

In order to have working lights on your Jeep there are a couple options. If you rarely plan to flat tow, you can simply use Heavy Duty Magnetic Tow Lights # TL21RK and connect to the 4-flat connector of your 1996 Seabreeze. Otherwise, you'll want to wire your lighting with the Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit # RM-154 to work your Jeep's lights in conjunction with your Seabreeze lights.

A supplemental braking system is now required in most states, and I strongly recommend the SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental System # SM99251, which is a one-time install that you'll never have to mess with again - no turning it on or reconnecting of any kind will be necessary. This system will apply the brakes on your Wrangler in proportion with the brakes on your Seabreeze for smooth braking that won't apply undue force to the frames of either vehicle. You would need the brake-lite relay # RM-88400 with this unless you used magnetic towing lights; in that case it would not be necessary.

Finally, it is likely you will need a high-low adapter to keep your Wrangler level with your tow vehicle. The adapter you need is going to depend on some measurements you'll need to take. I have added a link to a help article on high-low adapters which explains the measurements you'll need, as well as a link to our page with each of our adapters.
