Tow Bar Braking and Lighting Kit Recommendation for 2009 Jeep Liberty
Question:
Need some expert help!! Installing the above on a 2009 jeep liberty. Have conflicting instructions on how to wire the led monitor to the brake switch. Have two wires red and black coming from the led monitor and two wires both black coming from the switch. I know one of the black wires on the switch go to a positive constant 12v source this case the battery. Where does the other switch wire go and where does the two led monitor wires go? Thanks

Your RV may have separate taillight circuits, but if it has trailer wiring installed on it those circuits will be combined at the trailer connector as that is the standard trailer wiring configuration.
Also, your Liberty may have separate taillights as well but you can still wire that setup to a 4 diode kit like the # RM-154 since this will allow your blinker/stoplights be be carried on the same bulb. I like the part # RM-15267 as it comes with some extra wiring and adapters to make the job easier.
The SMI DUO # SM99251 is our installers favorite braking system because of how easy it is to install (relatively) and how well it works. It would be the kit I would recommend as well.
