Can EZ5 Base Plate Kit of 2014 Honda CR-V be Replaced with EZ4
Question:
will the -4 brackets fir in the -5 base plate ? I have a guardian rock guard and -4 brackets if I order the -5 base plate can I interchange the tow points if I dont want to use the rock guard

The difference between the EZ4 and EZ5 Roadmaster base plate kits is more than just the removable arms of the base plate kit. Since the EZ4 is designed for use with a crossbar and the EZ5 is not the way the base plate is braced and designed is different.
If you wanted to use the part # RM-521567-4 that you referenced you'd have to install the whole kit.
