Can Reese Elite Sliding 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch be Used in a Long Bed Truck

I purchased a 5th wheel trailer which came with a Reese 18k elite slider hitch, but the seller kept his bed rails. I dont have a truck yet, but was planning on purchasing a long bed truck. Do you sell bed rails that can mount the slider hitch in a long bed?

The Reese Elite Sliding Fifth Wheel Hitch # RP30144 installs into an underbed rail kit that is custom to the specific truck. There are rail kits for the Elite that fit 8 foot beds but I'll need to know the year, make, and model of the truck to recommend the specific kit. Even though the sliding hitch you have is normally for short bed trucks it will be fine in a long bed. You likely won't need to engage the slider.
The Reese Elite also fits directly into the Ford factory puck system. So if you purchase an F-250 or F-350 that has the puck system already you'll be good to go.
