Available Front Hitches for 2013 Nissan Titan 4WD
Question:
Can you please explain the differences between the c31061 and the c65065? Im installing on a 2013 Nissan Titan pro-4x, and am going to modify the skidplate to fit. Will one or the other of these hitches require less cutting of the skidplate than the other? Also, does one hitch offer a better approach angle than the other? What are the other differences between these two hitches? Thanks in advance for the information!

The two front-mount hitch receivers offered for your 2013 Nissan Titan 4WD, Curt # C31061 and Draw-Tite # 65065, share common weight ratings but differ in their installation requirements. The Draw-Tite hitch does not require frame drilling as the Curt does but may require front fascia trimming to create a space for the cross tube. This will depend on the exact features on the vehicle.
The install instructions for both hitches are linked for your review. I checked through both and neither refers to any trimming of the skid plate.
Since both hitches are designed for the same vehicles their clearance after installation will be essentially identical. Both are designed to fit as closely as possible under the front bumper.
