Recommended Wiring to Install Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Brake Controller on a 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe
Question:
Is there a harness available for the 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe or will I have to cut and splice? Also, do I need to purchase a harness to go from the controller to the back of the vehicle. Thanks.

To install the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Brake Controller # 90195 on your 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe, you will need to do some cutting and splicing. This is not a difficult process when you have a 4-way trailer connector and use the Universal Brake Controller Wiring Kit # ETBC7. This kit gives you everything you need to make a trailer connection for a trailer with brakes. It includes all the wiring, circuit breakers, and connectors for installation. This will allow your brake controller to communicate with your trailer.
If you don't already have that 4-way flat trailer connection, I recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package - 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118258 if you have the factory tow package. If you don't have the factory package, then I recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118415 that connects to factory wiring behind the trim on each side of your rear cargo area.
I've attached videos to help with this install. You will be very happy with the result.
