Will the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Work With a B&W Gooseneck Hitch on a 2010 Ford F-150

Question:

I have a crew cab 2010 f150 5 and a half foot bed 4x4, I am looking to install this kit with a bandw goose neck hitch to tow a 32 foot fifth wheel that weighs approximately 9000lbs. Are the two compatible and is this the best setup for my truck outside of a true fifth wheel hitch?

The Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs part # AL57200 will work with the B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch w/ Custom Installation Kit part # BWGNRK1104 installed on your 2010 Ford F-150. The B&W hitch mounts to the outside of the frame rail and the Air Lift kit mounts to the bottom of the frame rail on you truck therefore, will work with one another. I have attached an installion video of the airbag kit installed on a 2013 Ford F-150 for you.

In order to operate the airbags from inside the vehicle, I recommend using the Air Lift Load Controller II Compressor System for Air Helper Springs part # AL25592.

The best way to tow a 5th wheel trailer with the B&W Gooseneck Hitch on your truck would be to use the B&W Companion Slider Gooseneck-to-5th-Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter part # BWRVK3400. However, as you have a 5-1/2' bed, the Companion is not guaranteed to clear the truck's tailgate or allow you to make a full 90 degree turn. The only way to find this out would be to test the hitch on your truck to see it's limitations.
