If the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of your 5th Wheel Trailer is 15K then you will want to get a 5th wheel hitch that is rated for a little over that capacity as you don't want to be stressing out the hitch at its max.

Since your 2016 GMC Sierra 2500 has a 6-1/2 foot bed you will want to get a sliding 5th wheel hitch to make sure that you have proper cab to trailer clearance when making tight turns.

The best option for you is the 18K Demco Hijacker Autosliding 5th Wheel Hitch # DM8550034. The autosliding feature is definitely the best quality about this 5th wheel hitch. It uses gears to slide when you are making those tight turns so that you do not have to get in and out of your cab - saving you time and effort. Not only is the autosliding feature great, but it also has a great hitch head as well. The wraparound jaw provides 360 degrees of jaw-to-king-pin contact to combat chucking and jarring which is further secured by a 3/4 inch thick locking steel bar. The head also has cushioning polyurethane dampeners help reduce noise and absorb road shock and a double pivot head to help reduce chucking.

If you have the factory rails installed on your Sierra then you will simply need to use the Adapter # DM6194 to install the Hijacker. If you do not have the factory rails then you will want to install the Base Rails # DM8552011-71 instead.

Also, if you do not already have a 7-Way installed in the bed of your Sierra then I recommend installing the Curt 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Wiring Harness 7-Pole # C56000 which will make connecting and disconnecting your trailer much easier.

I have attached some videos for you to check out as well.
