Largest Wheel and Tire Size Available to Fit on 2,000 lb Trailer Axle

Question:

I just bought a 2000# axle kit to upgrade my HF folding trailer. The new hubs are 5x4.5. I want to go up in tire size. Will I be able to put 14inch tires on with this trailer? The axle is identical in size to the one that came with it. 60inch hub face, 48inch spring center. I know that spacing will come into play with larger wheels, but I really dont know much about that and how to tell which wheels/tires will fit.

Most hubs that fit a 2,000 lb axle can only fit up to a 12 inch diameter wheel. What size wheels/tires do you have now? There might be a larger size available but probably only up to a 12 inch wheel setup.
We don't have them pre-mounted so you would need to purchase the tire and wheel separately. You could use the Kenda Karrier S-Trail ST145/R12 Radial Trailer Tire - Load Range E # AM10140. It's overall diameter is 21.3 inches and has a section width of 5.7 inches. Then a wheel like the Aluminum Lynx Trailer Wheel - 12" x 4" Rim - 5 on 4-1/2 - Silver # LH45FR. This would be the largest wheel setup I can feel safe about recommending right now.
