Recommended Circuit Breaker to Use In-Line with Battery Isolation Solenoid for Switched Lights
Question:
How much amperage does the pull in coil draw when energized on your PK5231201 isolation solenoid? I wired this device through a 20 Amp illuminated rocker switch. It pulls in fine, but light failed after two cycles of the switch. The switch still pulls solenoid in.

The Battery Isolation Solenoid # PK5231201 is not circuit breaker protected so the power running in and out of it will be different for each vehicle. I recommend using a circuit breaker like the In-Line Circuit Breaker - 20 Amp - Perpendicular Mount Bracket # 9506P to protect your switch and light. This has an automatic reset when over-current is removed and cycles continuously during over-current condition to protect your accessories.
