The Trailer Valet 5X, # STC-V211 is a jack that is mounted to your trailer with a bolt-on bracket and therefore, is designed to be used with just the one trailer to which it is attached. It does not come equipped with the ball base, so a ball cannot be mounted or added to the 5X. The Trailer Valet XL differs from the 5X because it is not a permanent jack, but a trailer dolly which is portable and can be used on multiple trailers. They offer it with a 2" Ball, # TVXL2, or with a 2-1/2" ball, # TVXL25. 2-1/2 INCH?

If the tires are spinning, you should first make sure that it is in high gear (closest to the top of the jack) which requires less effort to turn the handle, but moves the wheels slower. Adding additional tongue weight will also help if the trailer is empty. I personally keep a couple of bags of sand in my trailer that I can drape over the tongue when it's empty. This is usually enough weight to give me the traction I need to get the wheels moving.

If you don't have one, you'll want to invest in the Drill Attachment, # TVDA, which can be used with a cordless drill in place of the hand crank on your 5X to reduce the amount of work required.
