Question:
I need clarification on a part jounce bumpers for my truck, but I am knee deep in the muck because I am not a mechanic. I own a 2005 GMC Sierra OHV 6.0L I am not sure if your part Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System fits my truck. Please advise on the correct parts. Thank you very much

I have the perfect set of Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancements for your 2005 GMC Sierra 1500. If you have a light-duty (LD) version you will want to use part # TGMRCK15S and if you have the heavy-duty (HD) version you will want use part # TGMRCK25S.
Rest assured, you do not need to be a mechanic to install these jounce bumpers on your vehicle. The light-duty (LD) version only requires one bolt to be removed in order to mount them to the vehicle and the heavy-duty (HD) version only requires 3 bolts to be removed in order to mount them to the vehicle. The only tools required for installation are a 3/8" ratchet, 10mm socket, 17mm socket, and a 6" extension.
If any of the bolts/nuts are giving you a hard time, it is always a good idea to soak them in penetrating oil such as PB Blaster for about 10-20 minutes before removing. If the bolts will still not break free after this is done, you can apply heat using a torch. Be cautious of your surrounding as you will want to keep the flame away from the gas tank and all fuel lines. I have included an installation and review video of each Timbren on a 2005 GMC Sierra 1500 for you.
