Can Non-Epicord Cords be Used with the Epicord 30 Amp Twist Lock Power Inlet # 277-000137

Question:

Is the Epicord 30 Amp Power Inlet only compatible with an Epicord power cord? Does Epicord make an adaptor for 30amp to 15amp? I am restoring a 16foot vintage trailer from the frame up and looking for the best quality 30 Amp Power outlet with the smallest footprint. Thank-you.

No, the Epicord 30 Amp Twist Lock Power Inlet # 277-000137 uses a standard twist lock power inlet so you can use other power cords.

We do have adapters that go from a 15-amp male power plug from your RV to a 30-amp receptacle. I recommend using the Camco Power Grip RV Power Cord Adapter # CAM55155 because it has a nice, bright-yellow color for easy visibility at night and a built-in handle on the male end which makes unplugging very easy.

If instead you are looking for the 30-amp side to plug into your RV side I recommend the Mighty Cord # A10-1530D90VP which has a twist-lock feature just like the Epicord Power Inlet # 277-000137 does.
