Will the Firestone Airbags F2400 Work with the B&W Gooseneck BWGNRK1108 on a 2006 Ford F-350
Question:
Hi, I have a 2006 Ford F350 PSD, Extended cab long bed XLT 4x4, single rear wheel. I am interested in installing the BandW under bed hitch along with air bags Air Lift or Firestone and an Andersen 3200 hitch. Are there airbags that will allow the installation of the BandW hitch? And will the Andersen work with the BandW hitch? thanks

The only 5th wheel hitch that is compatible with the B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch w/ Custom Installation Kit part # BWGNRK1108 is the B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # BWRVK3500-5W. The Andersen Ultimate Connection 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch System with Adapter part # AM3200 will not work with the B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch.
For a set of airbags compatible with the B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch on your 2006 Ford F-350 I recommend using the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs part # F2400. The 3/4" bolt that attaches the upper airbag bracket to the inside of the frame rail will need to be ran through the pre-drilled hole on the frame brackets that attaches to outside of the frame rail on the B&W hitch first. You will want to use the 3/4” X 3 1/2” bolt included in the Firestone kit instead of the 3/4” X 2 1/2” bolt used in the B&W kit for this connection.
The Firestone airbags are one of the best options we offer to maximize safe load-carrying capacity, increase stability and improve ride quality. I recommend going with the Firestone kit over the AirLift kit because the Firestone airbags use a 4-ply rubber on the airbags in comparison to AirLift which only uses a 2-ply rubber. For a compressor kit that will allow you to control the airbags from inside the vehicle I recommend using the Firestone Air Command I part # F2158.
I have attached several review and installation videos of these components for you.
