Solution for Trailer Jack that Was Retracted too Far and was Damaged
Question:
Evidently Retracted too far! Now, though running, wont budge up or down? What do I do?

Expert Reply:
On a lot of powered a-frame jacks if you extend or retract them too far you end up warping the nut and screw that allows the jack to travel up and down. When this happens there isn't a way to fix it as the jack is permanently damaged. It's time for a new jack.
As a replacement, I recommend the Stromberg Carlson Electric Trailer Jack, # JET-5000.
It has a lifting capacity of 5,000 lbs which would be more than you'd need but will ensure that the jack will operate quickly and last a long time.
