Difference Between the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement and the SumoSprings Solo Helper Springs
Question:
If everything else is equal, ie price and availability what is the better option to help the squat on a 2014 ram 1500 w/o air susp, Timbrens or sumo springs

The better option to help minimize the level of squat you are expecting on your 2014 Dodge Ram 1500 while towing is the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System part # TDR1500DQ. The Timbrens are made of a much stiffer material in comparison to the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs part # SSR-307-47 which will in turn provide you with more support. However, while engaged the SumoSprings will provide a slightly softer ride in comparison to the Timbrens.
For the best of both worlds (Support/Ride Comfort) I recommend using a set of airbags like the Firestone Coil-to-Air-Spring Conversion Kit part # F2595 as these will replace the coil springs on your vehicle with a set of airbags that are better equipped to handle the additional squat you are experiencing while towing/loaded. To operate the airbags from inside the vehicle I also recommend using an onboard compressor kit like the Firestone Air Command I part # F2158.
I have attached a review and installation of the Timbrens for you.
