Recommended Wiring Harness For 2016 Honda Odyssey And 5-Way Adapter For Reverse Lockout Connection
Question:
Is there a wiring harness for a 2016 Honda Odyssey that will work with surge brakes?

Expert Reply:
For your 2016 Honda Odyssey, I recommend the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118521. This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located behind the driver's-side interior trim panel in your rear cargo area. Once you've plugged in the T-connector, open your fuse box and locate the fuse positions indicated in the instructions. Then insert the included fuses.
That will give you a 4-way flat, and that will work for a trailer with surge brakes. If you need the reverse wire function for an electric lockout on your coupler, then I recommend adding the Tow Ready 4 Pole to 5 Pole Trailer Wiring Adapter # 20036.
